‘U.S., S. Arabia should stop support for terrorism’

TEHRAN – Kamal Kharrazi, director of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, said on Tuesday that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia should end their support for terrorist groups in Syria.

Support by the certain Western and Arab countries for terrorists in Syria coupled with Europe’s silence toward the issue are the main reasons behind the Syrian conflict, the former foreign minister remarked.

According to an investigation, a school bus attack in Yemen, which left 51 students dead, was carried out using a U.S. manufactured bomb. The attack, which occurred in northwestern province of Sa’ada on August 9, was branded as a “legitimate military operation” by Saudi Arabia, which is engaged in the U.S.-backed war on its impoverished neighbor.
